Progress update!

The workshop is progressing well - although Neil tells me that this is the fast bit - he has to make all the roof trusses which could take some time.
He is going to put a ring beam of concrete around the top course of blocks and he is nearly at that level now...

Luckily the weather is fabulous at the moment so he is enjoying working in the sun

I got back from musical ride practice today and there was a huge pile of logs waiting to be stacked. The ride went really well and we had memorised it perfectly - we just need the horses to get on together now and all will be well, they spent loads of time pulling faces today and not wanting to trot side by side. It's still early days though!!

Ian has finished welding the polytunnel and has done a fab job. Its ready for the plastic now, but Neil is going to build some raised beds before that goes on top.

  4. That poly tunnel looks huge, wish I had one of those! Never mind we have bought a green house which should help me get things going once we have worked out how to put it together - I hate flat packs!!!

The workshop will not be long now, it is going up fast. Glad to hear the musical ride is going well. Take car Diane

  5. The polytunnel is 12 metres long, just over 5 metres wide and 2 and a half metres high at the centre point. I don't think you need a polytunnel Diane - your garden produced wonderfully last year without one, must be all your hard work xx

  6. Everything seems to moving so fast at your place!
The people who are reading this with Google translate and my bad spanish for explanations are astounded! Things are somewhat...shall we say...laid back here...

  7. We've just had enough of the house not being closed off from all the elements in winter and not having a bath or spare bedrooms! Poor Neil is working hard while I am trying to earn some money to keep us both. We are lucky we have such good friends who help us xx
