Having witnessed some very late cranes flying south only a couple of weeks ago I was gobsmacked yesterday to see a large group flying North again. Do they know something we don't?
I couldn't believe it when I heard their familiar cry overhead. How odd.
There have been oddnesses too with the birds going south / north as well.

ReplyDeleteFunnily enough they were flying in circles over the house tonight, but then they do that quite often as they circle to gain height before flying off again. We must have our very own thermals - shame they don't warm up the house!!!
ReplyDeleteAppie is still lame Mum, I think he must have slipped on some ice. A little better than a couple of days ago though, although he isn't happy to be on box rest!xx
